Mother earth





lemony summer     
planting rice stalks in rich soil, 
butterflies abound

seeds in my small hands  
grow to tall and mighty trees,   
giants walking earth

black smoke and grey fumes
above the white cityline,
drooping sunflowers

    the walking giants planted by your hand and the attention called to how it can be smudged by smoke and fumes.

    any chance to call attention to these exigent issues in an artistic venue has more significance.
