you are my morning
embrace in snow veiled garden,
dazzling as the sun
~0~0
you are my green grass
shelter of restless spirit,
anchor in the storm

you are my evening
home in the forest, cradling
my sharp claws to rest
Happy hearts day everyone !!!

How beautiful Grace!!!
ReplyDeleteAnd they'd called it puppy love oh wait, that be kitty love..haha.
ReplyDeleteWell done Grace, your lover must be special. I can read that in your words.
ReplyDeleteAh, Grace, the picture is so touching; and your words are even more so!
ReplyDeleteIt is a cliche, but I've got to go with the picture is worth 1000 words. ~Mary
ReplyDeleteah I do like extended haikus, I often find a lonely haiku missing that "finish" I like to see in a poem - I also like how you've kept true to the precedent established in the first one (oh dear, legalese creeping through) - the "you are's" the "embrace/shelter/home" then the last line contrasting sharp or frenetic things with peace - the anchor - claws to rest - nicely done!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the compliment. I try to stick to the original haiku form of contrasting images instead of just trying to fit it into 17 syllables.
