At first, there seems to be just a lovely description of the seashore. But the last haiku secretes a suggestion that if we take the treasures of the seashore away and attempt to own them, then the beauty of the shore is no more.
i like gemma's thoughts on this...our treasures sometimes do lose their magic when we separate them...and sometimes they keep just a glimmer....smiles.
I like your haiku today. I collect shells and other things from the beach where ever I find one - beach that is :-) Thank you.

I like the second one a lot. I have several dishes and vases of shells but you're right. You just can't capture the seashore and take it home.
