starry wants

you're the fish
and I'm the clumsy fishermoon

you're daisy, yellowing
and I'm the witless greenskeeper

I'm only pink-
toasted
when my fingers are blue-
inked

I'm filled with sea-
weeds
wants
wanting

running in circles
waiting for your whispered verses

in my ear

  3. Oh, MY.
"fishermoon" -- are you kidding me with this? BRILLIANT.
I love that the title can make "wants" be a verb or a noun...
I, too, am "filled with sea," always.

    Gorgeousness, Grace.

    1. It was originally the fisherman...but a typo error made it fishermoon in my draft, and I like it so I ran with it. Thanks ~

  10. Wanting gets even harder with all these conflicts, but I can see how "whispered verses" might calm this running in circles.
