  2. Exquisite. If I hadn't known it was a palindrome, I might have read it through without being consciously aware of the excellence of technique, rather being lost in the wonderful sensory images that your work is known for. Really well done.

    1. Thank you Kerry ~ I think we can allow for creativity so the meaning is not lost in the forward/backward jumble of words ~

  4. Aha, you slightly twisted the palindrome - whew, that gives permission to swoop and curve a bit.

    I especially like this:

    paper (so) brown with
    seeds, we unwrap its
    skin

    1. This is a tough challenge so I give you permission to change it up a bit ~

The line palindrome though might be easier for some ~ Thanks M ~

  5. :) beautiful. I really loved the way you started the journey with a plum and ended it again in a plum but the meanings were different. One showed harvesting and another sowing:)

  6. Love what you did with this . . . a tale of two halves.

  7. ha. really cool grace...nice progression in this...all centering on the raindrop...only a few little modifications to get it to go forward and back...this is not easy...i remember doing it at dverse...by the line for me was easier than the whole thing...i rather like the brown paper section myself....

  8. Wow, you did this flawlessly, kiddo! Absolutely wonderful! Like Kerry, the fact it is a palindrome took second place to the perfection of the poem itself. Bravo!Really impressive work.

  12. Oh, boy!!! This is such an excellent example!! You've given me courage to want to try this again in a new way...love the slight variations that you used to tweak the second half and I love the shape that your center took. Wow. Greatness, Heaven!

  13. O what a magical painting you paint. Especially love the opening scenario of sky becoming blue lake - like a distance shot - and then there's the zoom detail and finally returning to the distance panorama of blue sky and lake.

  24. The palindrome, I had heard of them never tried one that I know of but I certainly liked the style and the way you used raindrops to turn the mirror around. Now i want a ripe plum! or a grilled cheese sandwich. I think I just broke my mirror Grace!

  29. Wonderful... the palindrome has confused me...
writing one seemed so daunting. As I read yours,
and others, I think if I could just have spurt of
creativity, something that strikes my fancy, I might be able to write one. At least give it a try.

Thanks for sharing. I do agree with the others,
as I read, it was a well written poem, not an exercise in a palindrome.
    Peace
    Siggi
