creek's cool air is an irresistible fragrance
as morning sun surges above grey clouds
turn me
to necklace of colors:
tangerine gold-
pink watermelon-
yellow maroon-
orange emerald-
amber tamarind-
and i'm lifted on wings of black birds
sparking a tumult against autumn sky

This is an impressive picture you paint, and then when I scroll down you have one that is exactly as I imagined...
ReplyDeleteI love the colour combinations in your autumn necklace. Your photo is stunning.
ReplyDelete"sparking a tumult" is FANTASTIC. And all those colors. Sigh. Wonderful, Grace.
ReplyDeleteThis is amazing, Grace! I love those five "color" lines.
ReplyDeleteI really like the form of this quadrille, Grace! The first two lines have the shape of those grey clouds and I can smell the 'irresistible fragrance' of the cool air of the creek.
ReplyDeleteThen there are those wonderful colours - in the shape of a tree trunk, with the reflection of the autumn sky below it. It's an image quadrille! Superb!
The photo and words are beautiful!
ReplyDeleteLoving all those colors, Grace and feeling grateful to be able to just look outside to enjoy them. Beautiful scene in photo and words.
ReplyDeleteYour photo is stunning, and yes, you painted it first with your words. Your last couplet is killer. I would love to have you participate by posting some of your images on my photography site over at https://www.facebook.com/groups/129946770719368/319970645050312/?notif_t=like¬if_id=1477337561036527.
