chests charging skyward-
spring fever is on
finger buds rising
greening fields-
wild flowers frolicking by feet
of trees-
raindrops scenting faces
of tulips-
birdsongs everywhere-
tiny cherry blooms unveiling
delicate parasols, pink eyelets
I am stilled
in the arms of beauty
Sakura viewing at High Park

ReplyDeleteA few weeks ago it looked like Spring would not arrive this year. Now it feels like it has always been here.
ReplyDeleteCherry blossom will always do that.Snowed here today.
ReplyDeleteI love the contrast between the busy atmosphere of the main body of the poem and the stillness of the final lines, Grace, especially:
ReplyDelete'raindrops scenting faces
of tulips'
and
'tiny cherry blooms unveiling
delicate parasols...'
Too much gorgeousness to mention, so I'm just gonna dance right here for a little while:
