Fantasy on cold winter night

Play the violin
Fiddle the lute
Drum the cymbals

I am garden, keyed with seeds
Singing to the moon, coppery fire:
Melt the ice crystals, draw leaves rising & chanting-

Music of spring whips up a storm, dabbing the sky buttered-green-

  3. A wondrous delicious sevenling; so poetic that it makes my effort seem a bit prosaic, pedantic, & pale--but still joyous that we can share with & inspire each other.

  4. Oh! The sky buttered green. I will be planting my garden in the next couple of weeks and this just melted my heart. I plant by the moon and I will howl at the moon. Love this joyous poem.

  16. Hi Grace! Your poem reminds me of A Midsummer Night's Dream. I love that line: 'Singing to the moon, coppery fire'.

  17. The season has to change Grace--at the least I think it does. Crocuses have grown and bloomed a'ready and then 2 inches of snow covered all but the flowers and tips of the leaves.
