Yellow-frayed memory
Cutting deep wounds
Black inferno
Twisting sky
Into backward time relapse
Dripping melancholy
Gather them all
Ink and pen, cloud seeds
Verses, red
Stories, orange
White escape
Revitalizing spirit
Awakening eyes
Magical
journey
Beauty Grace:)
ReplyDeleteLook at your tornado shaping! SO cool. :)
ReplyDeleteThis is awesome: "Yellow-frayed memory / Cutting deep wounds / Black inferno"
Writing and examining IS a magical journey that can provide healing ... or make you crazy. Definitely one or the other. ;)
Really well done, Grace. I love "white escape" as sort of a pivot line into the close.
ReplyDeleteThey can surely awaken, the strikes bring quite the flash to the mind.
ReplyDeleteI love how your poem is laid out to look like a twister. You begin with such a strong image, and the poem gathers momentum all the way through to the last word.
ReplyDeleteit is all part of the journey...the dark and the light...deep wounds are just the reminders of where we have been...it does have a tornado shape to it...when the house lands, follow the yellow brick rd...smiles...
ReplyDeleteWow! The wild magic of the GORGEOUSLY placed and streaming so quickly backwards of all experienced, gathered and flowing forward again to us:
ReplyDelete"Ink and pen, cloud seeds
Verses, red
Stories, orange
White escape
Revitalizing spirit
Awakening eyes"
in this so "magical journey."

ReplyDeleteSome memories are truly not very good to wake. But "white escape - revitalizing spirith"! And the white escape is Christ. We are not slaves to the sin but got loose by the love of Christ! Thank you Lord!
