Every poem, I think, is an uncharted journey. Some end up as sweet as plums and some, well, we know how those taste, don't we? :)

ReplyDeleteAll really nice. k.
ReplyDeleteI love the 'sweet plum' image I got from this.
ReplyDeleteThe skill of Haiku writing is profound and I think you have it. Here I detect the influence of William Carlos Williams (whose name is longer than his effective lines)--because of the plums, of course. That first bite of poetry is juicy like that and unapologetic, even if written before the first kiss. The three tell a story moving from innocence to experience, with even the break-up as another poem, a stinger, framed. Powerful writing. (it looks like you are saying "Oh, Oh" between each one--I missed it on #3 LOL)
ReplyDeleteI love all of them, especially the last one.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful set. I liked the middle one and then the punch in the last one ;-)
