Gem
the yellow shell move
snail's pace towards the jewel
shining on the edge
meadow plain and bare,
reward of a long journey
a gem in his eyes
spirals of the sun,
quenching his wandering soul
thirsty for the sky

I loved how you used your words, tie them together. i loved how you managed to include nature in your haiku, which i always tried my best to include in mine too, but sometimes i just couldn't. lastly, that image you got there. it fits so perfectly with your haiku pieces. well done.
