Tea cup

light reflects table
wired by laptops, phones, music
cyberspace, twitterverse news sweep
the room in tidal waves
but for this corner
where
inside tea cup of
cherry and plum blooms,
hums a monk’s prayer
dwells a river
flowing with the wind
pulsing with questions
with answers
I have yet to find

Zest for new journeys

zest for new journeys
begins with seeding each day,
a verse, joyful thoughts

a verse, joyful thoughts
spread white wings on morning coast,
ready for new day

ready for new day,
sun, wind, stormy days, grey clouds,
fly the horizon

fly the horizon
with keen eyes and eager hands,
zest for new journeys
