slow dance

the grating shrills, honks

of geese & gulls

do not bother me

the mercurial weather

of sudden rain & bright sun

do not despair me

i can wait

for marvel of fresh daffodils

& lazy unfurling

of cherry

blooms, time of slow

spring dance

  1. Spring is upon as well... I think the cherry blossoms are out, and last weekend I went looking for geese... so I am with you a lot in this dance.

  2. This is exquisitely drawn, Grace! I so love those cherry blossoms! We have Cassia trees blooming here at the moment.💝💝

  3. I love the graceful slow feel of your words Grace. Spring seems to move on quickly here in the desert.

  4. A beautiful breath of spring air, Grace! I’ve heard geese and gulls recently, flying overhead – a friendly sound – I quite love the mercurial nature of spring weather, and you are so right about the ‘lazy unfurling of cherry blooms’; ours are definitely keeping us waiting.

  5. Here in Slovenia spring also seems slow in coming. The first blossoms were killed off by snow and hail, but after rain the earth is blooming again.
