sprinkle me with raindrops-
i am new
sunshine eyes, tulip-pale
blossoming
swishing my skirts, i bring out
dancing shoes
with my umbrella, i'm
skipping thru rain
dandy with daffodils-
i grin - spring!!

This is gorgeous, Grace. I love it --- every word, just perfect.
ReplyDeleteLove everything about this, Grace and most especially feeling "dandy with daffodils!"
ReplyDeleteOh I love the dandy with daffodils too... so happy.
ReplyDeleteikt seems we have waited for Spring a long time this year. Now it is here at last!
ReplyDeleteThere's a spring in the beat of this poem, rain-splashing and happy :)
ReplyDeleteVery light. Our daffs only just seem to be emerging.
ReplyDeleteSkip away. Spring sure is a fun display
ReplyDeleteWe chose the same image and came up with different poems. I love the voice of the daffodil asking to be sprinkled with raindrops', with its 'sunshine eyes', 'swishing skirts' and umbrella! Or is it your, Grace?
ReplyDeleteSpring makes one want to dance and smile.
ReplyDeleteDaffodils sprinkled with raindrops. Love this, Grace.
ReplyDeletePerfect for Spring. Daffodils are my favorite Spring bloom!
ReplyDeleteIt is very springy! I love it!
ReplyDeleteI appreciate the flow of words that make Spring an emerging season of rebirth. I am not fan of changing weather patters though Grace--too many past endeavors that involved broken bones. *sigh*
