And this is for Kay's Sunday Challenge:
put your
smile & red nose -
play the fool till they laugh
chasing tears & fears away, be
a clown
Posted for Imaginary Garden with Real Toads -OpenLinkNight and Sunday's Challenge - My memories of clowns are happy ones, specially attending children's parties and hosting parties for my children when they were young.
We visited the Kensington Market yesterday, Sunday and had fun checking out eclectic, vintage and international stuff. A good day to be out and about, though it's still cold here. Happy day to everyone ~
I can be a clown, but no red nose, the cat would just eat that haha two fun runs under your sun!
ReplyDelete...play the fool 'til they laugh

ReplyDeletereally love the first poem... I was here... both are wonderful though Grace!
ReplyDeleteha...cool i like the graffiti...its like a cartoon...that rabbit in the middle is funny looking...ah we all need our fools and clowns down we...they make me think or wonder what they are making up for trying to get everyone to laugh or smile....
ReplyDeleteI like both of these poems - short, sweet, with a hint of reality behind the farce.
ReplyDeleteTwo for the price of one. Both brilliant talkes on the challenges. For some reason I could not come up with any good ideas for either of these prompts...I suck. Loved both of these.
ReplyDeleteI love this post Grace :)
ReplyDeleteLOVE the "play the fool til they laugh" line.
I liked the first one a lot - "I was here" - how appropriate for the motivation behind any graffiti :)
ReplyDeleteI'm glad clowns chased your tears and fears away, Grace. I know they want to make children laugh, and to make them happy, and your clown succeeded. Good work.
