on realizing you are

raw-
as seeds,
softened soil,
nurturing      sky
hard thrusting of birth
sweat, blood & fears mingling
with joy... and the unknown looms
like   giant  tidal   waves,  you    feel
the weight on your shoulders & though your
hands  are  gentle now,  your  eyes are all fire-

Nightwatch

we climb out of our cars, straining
to see the last harvest of full moon.
The trees are silent as we're counting

each grain weaving across the dark sky-
each light sliding, skating the lagoon-
each verse stitching like a neat bow tie-

lustrous is canvas unveiling, awed
are we to witness this feat: scooped,  swooned,
lifted like a gem - a night unflawed !

Posted for Imaginary Garden with Real Toads - Nocturna poem and theme - I am hosting this mini-challenge this weekend.

Poetry form:  This is a 9 line poem (3 tercets) linked by the rhyme of the centre line. I have kept the 9 syllables per line (instead of 10) and have followed the rhyme scheme:  a. b. a. c. b. c. d. b. d.

Pink blooms

Grace @ Everyday Amazing

pink blooms
bursting like waves
upon the cold spring breeze
garlands weave, casting aside leaves
and modesty, like sassy show troupers-
painting the sky iridescent-
i drink in your beauty
-swift as sunset-
pink blooms

OUTside

The view from my cubicle
Grace @ Everyday Amazing

the noise outside
never ceases - whistling, screeching, thundering
from cars, trucks

going east or west
always fast -
chasing ticking clock

I don't see -
muting the snowdrops falling, trembling
like a dove.
