Vanilla sky

cold winds herald winter’s carriage,
city skyline heaves in mushroom dust

white is the night in december,
paler than the moon half dressed in black

red rose bush stoops low on ground,
winter is a heavy child to carry

snow flakes blanketing car windows,
muddy prints against vanilla sky

Wishing you Happy New Year !

Couplets poetry form:   Haiku (17 syllables)

Shared with Flash Fiction Friday:   for the G-man.   We finally have snow.   It came after Christmas day.   Thankfully it is light and erratic but still the ice must be scraped from the car before the drive.   Thanks for the visit.
