I think things would change in the life of this young girl and we would gladly pay her more money to pick our food. Maybe someday she would be able to live closer to her family and her dreams would come true. Hopefully for all migrant workers this will someday happen.

Thanks for sharing this poem with us for this weeks Theme Thursday.

God bless.Mrsupolehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01563854387767106508noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4856662679041828863.post-14223286080144946272012-07-12T12:54:03.715-04:002012-07-12T12:54:03.715-04:00We don't seem to realize or appreciate how wel...We don't seem to realize or appreciate how well we have it these days.

http://joycelansky.blogspot.comCatch My Wordshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06338761214938263819noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4856662679041828863.post-86828641784873226902012-07-12T10:35:35.387-04:002012-07-12T10:35:35.387-04:00Exquisite!!!Exquisite!!!Helenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16619199535376925989noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4856662679041828863.post-84048000869247909602012-07-12T10:19:44.188-04:002012-07-12T10:19:44.188-04:00A lovely poem that makes us see the humanity of th...A lovely poem that makes us see the humanity of the cotton picker!
Unfortunately, she is not just a metaphor or a model for us to take delight in simple things, to want less, to know that no life is empty of a spark.
