Rust

the sunlight on your face

wheat-golden as new day

grains of honey sprinkling oat milk sky

i fall into trance

these plum-kissed blooms

enticing blustering wind

to hiccups & heaves on leaves

edging with first rust of autumn

  1. Wish you could be sitting here with me, Grace. I just gave out a huge sigh when I finished reading this. Just beautiful. Every line - but most especially for me "grains of honey sprinkling oat milk sky"
