for curbside delivery

under the wave of writing
fog, i set an alarm:   to persuade
believers,
invisible enemies in
Stalin's Court of Red Tsar,
the spies in Hitler's inner circle
seeking Allah,
finding Jesus

what are 7 secrets of persuasion?
I turn to the African Samurai
for answers
he, black warrior
is silent
truth is best served, with starving mouth

My hubby's books

Posted for dVerse Poets Pub- Finding poems in Bookshelves (Spine Poetry), hosted by Bjorn Rudberg.  I added my own lines in the available titles.

  3. I was intrigued by the title, Grace, and then by the ‘invisible enemies in / Stalin's Court of Red Tsar’ and the ‘spies in Hitler's inner circle’. And ‘what are 7 secrets of persuasion?’ I need to know!

  5. Looks like your hub reads deep! I like the way your created a political intrigue with the titles.

  6. You serve up (curbside) a cautionary poetic tale, delivered artfully from those titles. But can we handle the truth?

  7. It flows effortlessly, Grace, beautifully blended politics with other more innocence matters

  9. It is a wonderful piece of thinking behind the writing Grace!

Although at times it is the starving mouth that cripples a resist and fight back approach,

I do hope that you and your family are well and doing well!

  11. Linking the African Samurai (I'd have to look him up myself) to the truth of the starving mouth - food aid in this time (we're still in lockdown in South Africa) is a huge, huge problem. You excelled in this prompt.
