Blue amnesia

Artist:   Kim Nelson

i'm
stilled
by pageantry
      of glorious beauty-
      perfect sky and words
      smooth as velvet grapes-
you plumed & stained my nights

electric
blue but i
was deceived
      by your ardent pleas-
      your  breath is steel cold
on my slim neck, strangling air

then
descent-
sharp blow-
     blue amnesia-
     slow keeling & fade
     undressed & delirious-  scattered

     adrift in the sea

  7. For me, this was all about dementia ... the descent, the forgetting, the fade, adrift. Awesome write!

  9. I can see how this painting caused a stir with your muse. The one word I focused on was electric, and both the painting and the poem are exactly that. You chics rule!

the lift, the fall, the broken heart... whether in romance, the minds fantasies, or the weather... this is the tide that rolls over and over again... beautiful Grace.

  14. Yikes - this is actually kind of frightening to me. Well done, but really kind of scary. I can't help thinking of the pounce in a very ominous kind of way. The pleas--your works very well. k.

  17. Sensual! and it was the very depth of pleasure that turned inside out to amnesia--not mere loss. Power with colors!
