By the sea




lighthouse by the sea
stands silent, white sentinel  
braving the black tide

glass windows closing,   
as blue waves crash against rocks,  
unfinished painting 

~o~o

fisherman at dawn,  
scouting for fish and sea weeds,
candle-lit prayer

    It takes 3 haiku to bring a lighthouse to life. Very special.

  25. I like the last one the best.. it took me two directions.. the candle-lit prayer for a good catch before he's off on the fishing journey.. or the candle-lit prayer from his family for his safe return from the unpredictable seas. Beautiful one, Grace.
